Mother
For all the good that you do,
there is just no one like you.
You make me smile when life gets tough,
You help me out when the seas are rough.
You give me hope in the darkest of times,
You push me up the mountain during the hardest climbs.
Your optimistic light brightens the room,
Your friendly nature gets rid of all gloom.
You are the sweet honey that a bee likes to suckle,
You are the fun loving clown, who makes a sad kid chuckle.
There are not enough words in the world to describe how amazing you are,
There is just me to tell you how grateful I am,
For you are are the reason I have come so far.
Thank you for everything, you are truly the worlds best Mother.

The Price Of Bread
Such a high price that no one can afford.
People must fight over it, with the tip of their sword.
Love ones turn on each other, as their children they must feed.
Bread is a French requirement, not a luxury, but a need.

Cry
Confusion and worry subsides me, and I'm submerged in deep thought.
Will the time improve, or is this a tightly tied knot?
One giant step back, too many circles to fix.
Will I get lost in my somber, or will I tug myself away?
Will I loose the single shard of hope? Will I continue to pray?
Happiness and optimism try and fight their way back in my mind.
Anger and anguish try and still keep me twined.
The bucket for my tears has now over-flowed,
The shovel for my fears, has not yet been bestowed.
I've come to the realization that there's only one thing left do.
Cry.
Cry out the pain that has thrown the weight on my shoulders.
Cry in hope that I will one day see the light,
Cry in hope that others understand my plight.
Cry in hope that my emotions one day will be set free,
Cry in hope that I will love myself for me.

Letting The Storm Pass
When you here the thunder, you get a certain shock as if you were naive.
You could not tell by the shades of grey, that the wind would no longer blow calm.
Signs of yellow overtook you, and you were in doubt that you could ever falter.
Yet when the lightning blazed right in front of your eyes, you began to get shaken.
You lived through the storm, and it is over alas.
Yet it has left you damage; damage that you have to fix.
Damage that has fractured a portion of your life.
The storm will give no apology, for it is already gone.
Now it is time for you to forgive and move on.

An Inspiration To Art
Bristles that brush against white paper
Is to the smell of broth when it starts to vapor
A painter who mixes colors on his pallets
Is to the result of a chef who mixes garlic and shallots
Cooking is to me, as is painting to Monet

Why Care?
Why care for those who don't want to be cared for?
Why take up space in my mind thinking and worrying about your impulsive behavior?
Why cary the burden of your weight on my shoulder?
Why give you my shoulder to cry on, when you don't show a shard of gratitude?
Why look out for you when you think you know best?
Why should I love you when the feeling's not mutual?
Should I step out of your life and leave you to your fate?
Should I hold myself back from helping when your in a state of need?
Should I leave you to your pain when the sun won't shine?
Should I feel sorry for you when you've gone blue?
Was it a waste all these years to invest in your life?
Are you worth all this pain and distress?
Fine! Push me out of your life!
Close the door to our happiness together!
Remove all the love you once had for me and throw it away!
But know one thing, I am forced to still love you.

Josie Winters
I tried really hard to walk and talk like Josie Winters.
She wears her hair the perfect way, and always knows just what to say.
Josie Winters tried really hard to walk and talk like Michelle Greenwood.
She had the greatest smile, and the most fashionable style.
Michelle Greenwood tried really hard to walk and talk like Sofie Jones.
She was the most popular girl in school, and she had an outdoor pool.
Sofie Jones tired really hard to walk and talk like Lizzy Rogers.
She had one of the sharpest mind, and to everyone she saw, she was kind.
Lizzy Rogers tried really hard to walk and talk like Lilly Garcia.
She was thin, pretty and tall, and she knew how to play any sport involving a ball.
To my surprise, Lilly Garcia was trying really hard to walk and talk like me.
She wears her hair the perfect way, and always knows just what to say.

Just One Act
She lays alone in sorrow all day, where her only words are to G-d, to pray.
She waits on the bench for one kind word, nobody smiles, no sound to be heard.
She watches the children, where on the trees they hung, she remembers her childhood, when she was happy and young.
She wonders why nobody understood her face, desperate for love, in need for saving grace.
She thinks about what there is to give, wether to give up hope, and wether life is worth to live.
She see's a girl waking by, the little girl asked if her shoe she could tie.
She ties the girl's shoe with so much love, she smiles and laughs , and thanks the one above
She see's that life could still be worthwhile, she figures maybe one day, she'll walk down the isle.
She is left with one question, "why can,t all people be as kind as little girls?"

Tell Me Something I Don't Know
I know my painting was good, but tell me why.
I see my dress is cute, but tell me why.
I understand that the G-d created the universe, but tell me how.
I know that man was on the moon, bust tell me when.
I realize my personality is sharp, but tell me why.
I could tell that you don't like me but tell me why.
I know you love me a lot but tell me why.
If you can't tell me when, if you can't tell me how, if you can't tell me why, then don't bother telling me.
I see my dress is cute, but tell me why.
I understand that the G-d created the universe, but tell me how.

Spring Cleaning
Get the crumbs clean clean clean; get all the crumbs that’s possibly seen.
Do you think you have it all yet? Have you looked through your self and have gotten all that you could possibly get?
Well, let me tell you something you are wrong. You have not gotten all the crumbs that you have, you have not yet gotten rid of even a halve.
If you stoop so low to think that you did, then don’t bother considering to live.
You were placed in this world for a good reason, thinking that your perfect is an act of treason
This message is not given to scare you away; rather it’s to help you improve while you stay
You’re a fine person, and that’s all that counts. However you’re in illusion when you start to think you’re free of faults
Tell Me Why Not
Why can't you go to the park today? Why can't you say what you want to say?
Why don't you wear that cute dress? Who cares if your hair looks like a mess?
Why didn't you protect your friend? Why to the new girl, new books you didn't lend?
Why weren't you nice to your sister at all? Does it matter that she is so small?
Why couldn't you just say no? Why must you always stoop so low?
Why can't you be the person who you are? Why make yourself miserable by keeping up with par?
Why don't you wear that cute dress? Who cares if your hair looks like a mess?

Just Imagine
How is it that you are here today? How is it that alive you can stay?
Someone had to create this land, someone made it that were able to stand.
Imagine a world without light, a world of darkness full of sorrow and fright.
How could we live without water? How is a mother able to have a daughter?
Someone made us work just the right way, someone made wind so that trees could sway.
Imagine a world without G-d, a world without Him would be quite odd.

Love Me For Me
Don't make me dress up for you, don't ask me to have a fancy hair due
Don't stare at me when I look cute, rather pay attention to when I'm astute
Don't ask me to dye my hair, and something cute I won't ask you to ware
Will you love me when I am old? Or will I be a maid servant, who does what their told?
Will you pressure me to do things I'd rather not pursue? Will my heart be the victim of what you hew?
Will our kids grow up with a proper effect? Will it be them you choose to protect?
Love me for who I am. Don't chase me away and make me lam.
Love yourself an equal amount. The reasons you love me, you should not count.
Love me for what I give, not for how pretty I choose to live.

Peace
If there are no wars in the world, only one in yourself
You are not at peace
If all the robbers are imprisoned, besides the one in yourself
You are not in peace
If the world is nice to you, yet you lack kindness
You are not at peace
If you are the wealthiest, but you envy others
You are not at peace
If your most humble, but can't gain respect
You are not peace
If the world was healthy and your mentally vain
You are not at peace
Once you stop asking for peace and instead perfect the world
You are at peace
You are not at peace
If all the robbers are imprisoned, besides the one in yourself

Rain
Rain pours down every night, every day
It's never permeant, it goes away
It nourishes the growing,
But destroys the living
Some wonder why it's needed
Others wonder why it's meager
Rain is nice on it's own
Thunder and lightning destroy the relish
It's a personality that has to be dealt with
You can cry over rain, you can laugh over rain
You can't live without it
It's never permeant, it goes away
It nourishes the growing,
But destroys the living
Some wonder why it's needed
Others wonder why it's meager

The Growing Flower
The seed stays stuck in the sizzling soil,
as the rain pours down and the suns to a boil.
Like a baby thats born,
and a petal thats torn,
The seed grows
As buds dance their way out of the ground,
the seed must realize it is no longer bound.
Like a bird who leaves his mothers nest,
and a child who leaves home and is put to the test,
The seed grows
As crisp petals drenched in lilac make their way out,
the shiny green stem has grown and sprout.
Like a hatched egg,
and a broken leg,
The seed grows
The seed has now grown very tall,
it's pretty in the spring, and dies in the fall.
Like a mother of four,
and an eagle who can soar,
The seed grew
as the rain pours down and the suns to a boil.
Like a baby thats born,
and a petal thats torn,
The seed grows

Cry Me A River
Cry me a river until your heart's content, but cry no more if the situation's unkempt.
Are you doing the best you can? Are you trying to help? Are you making a stand?
Don't be fooled for your not in pain, your hiding from the fact that your attempt was vain.
Are you like the river, can you be pushed by? Do you buy into the crowd? Do you even try?
Cry me a river from another point of view, for he is struggling by far worse then you.

The Fly In The Swarm Of Bees
One very lonely fly, caught in a swarm of bees
He is so different form the rest
Yet he keeps his identity a secret
He lets no one know of his background
What he doesn't realize is, everyone knows who he is just by looking at him
Everyone wonders why he is here, why he doesn't join his own type
He tries so hard to be a bee, but in result he is a shameful fly
He does not realize his own talent
He can't look at both sides of his world
All he thinks he is, in reality what he has become
He can't recognize his own strength
He can only point out his weakness
He was once a bee, this is how he became a fly
He is so different form the rest
Yet he keeps his identity a secret
He lets no one know of his background

Some Day Over The Rainbow
Even when young and until old, I have wanted to go over the rainbow to find my pot of gold
The girl who was perfect in the class, it was always greener on her side of the grass
She was always tall, pretty, not pale, she passed every test and never did she fail
She had the best of friends, she always had the coolest and the best of pens
So one day I decided to visit her end, little did I know that her mother and father did not blend
She lived with her father part of the time, while her mother sat in jail paying off the done crime
And for the other part of her life, she practiced learning how to be a wife
She cared for her siblings all of the time, and no one payed her a dollar or dime
I think I will now go back to my side, knowing that her life is not a road I would ride

Don't Turn On Me
There was once a very tiny ant, that lived in a whole right next to a plant.
One day she came across a mouse, who said "I am going to destroy your house".
"But why" cried the ant. "Do tell me if you please"
"It's been weeks" said the mouse, "since I have found a piece of cheese"
"Please don't destroy me so fast yet" Pleaded the ant,. "I will help you out and you shall see how good your life will get.
My friends and I will go into that large fancy home, we will find you all of the pieces of cheese you could possibly own."
"That's fine" said the mouse, "I will keep you alive for now, but I will tell you that I make no vow."
The next day the mouse came across a cat, who said "I'm about to eat you so you better scat"
"What on earth would be your reason?" the mouse asked, "Would that not be considered an act of treason?"
"I am hungry don't you understand? said the cat, "Not a single crop has grown on this land.
To add to that I no longer purr, these stupid ants crawl all over my fur!"
"Please wait, for I can be of help" the mouse said, I'll get rid of the ant's and you'll no longer yelp."
"Ok" said the cat, "you have time to live, as long as you keep giving the gift you need to give"
The following day the cat was approached by a dog, who said "I am going to rip you to shreds like I did to that hog"
"You definitely don't have any right" answered the cat, "what makes you think that you are so bright?"
"Give me one good reason why not" the dog said, "you are all that I'v got.
The mice in the house have bin driving my owner crazy, he hasn't been feeding me and he's been very lazy".
"I can help with that" the cat said, "I could kill the mice being that I'm a cat"
"Ok" said the dog, "that is just fine, just remember that your life could be mine"
At the next moment the owner said to the dog, "We are out of money to keep you, so go sleep on that log. Besides, I no longer have time, I must leave the neighborhood since there is so much crime"
"There is no need to leave, just please make sure it's me you continue to feed.
I shall watch your house at night" the dog continued to say, "nothing and no one will be out of my sight".
"Whatever" said the owner, "just stay out of my way, I'v got a lot of things going on in my life today"
At noon the next day, the owner's land lord came by, "we are giving a new policy a try.
From now on" the land lord continued, "as hard as it gets, this building will no longer be allowing pets.
You could choose weather to stay or move out, but let me know soon or a new location you will scout.
"I will stay" said the owner, "that is just fine, the dog that is here will no longer be mine"

She Showed Me Who Not To Be
When she laughed at me, and broke me down
She showed me who not to be
When she toiled with my emotions and pondered my thoughts
She showed me who not to be
When she took my dignity, and ached my heart
She showed me who not to be
When she walked on me, and filled my eyes with tears
She showed me who not to be
When she broke me down and flaunted herself
She showed me who not to be
When she can look at others, but not bare to look at herself
She showed me who not to be
She showed me who not to be
When she toiled with my emotions and pondered my thoughts
She showed me who not to be
When she took my dignity, and ached my heart
She showed me who not to be
When she walked on me, and filled my eyes with tears

A Lovely Day
My day was so grand, I got up and was able to stand
I got a glimpse of the outside, the sun came out and did not hide
I was able to have a good meal, and I saw the world one last time for real
I got a glimpse of the outside, the sun came out and did not hide
I was able to have a good meal, and I saw the world one last time for real
Why Oh Why?
Why oh why do you need to make me mad, and let me go all distressed and sad?
Why don't you treat me with any respect? Why am I your robot who gives you what you select?
Do you need to crush my energetic mood, or bug me and take away all my food?
Do you even like me for who I am? Or do you use me, as if I'm a river dam?
Who do you think you are that's so right, am I stupid or not as bright?
Will it be like this when I have kids? Will I loose my dignity or flip my lids?
Is the whole world sick of me, or will you just let me be?
Why oh why do you need to make me mad, and let me go all distressed and sad?
Why don't you treat me with any respect? Why am I your robot who gives you what you select?
Do you need to crush my energetic mood, or bug me and take away all my food?

One Year More
Please, please only one year more, let me hang on to what I had before
Please, please give me once more chance, let me stay where I am in that state of trance
Why must I leave my life before, why must you place me in this intimate war
Can I stay for one more day, when my feelings were at most allay
Please, please just understand, I am used to were I live and you have placed me in a foreign land
Please, please give me once more chance, let me stay where I am in that state of trance
Why must I leave my life before, why must you place me in this intimate war
Can I stay for one more day, when my feelings were at most allay
Please, please just understand, I am used to were I live and you have placed me in a foreign land
Talk To the Devil
"Dearest G-d, why am I being punished?"
"Because you did wrong to the Hebrew Nation"
"How is this my fault? You hardened my heart"
"You are responsible for your own actions"
"How so? Many years ago you you made a promise to Abraham that his people would be brought into exile then brought back to exodus, some one had be the devil, it so happened it was me"
"Not to the level you took it, you never had to be that cruel"
"Is there any hope for me that one day I shall go to heaven?"
"One thing could be in your favor. You made my people cry out to me and through that they readied themselves for the exodus that awaited. Other than that, no.

The Fire
Red and yellow arms reaching about, will they love or hurt me? I will find out
They can be so warm, friendly, kind , and nice but will they give me the right advice
At the same time, I don't know who to trust, how will they treat me? I will find out, I must
Will they burn me? Hurt me? Make me cry? Will they tell me the truth, or tell me a lie?
The fire can be so warm but hurt me at the same time, who will be loyal? Who will commit a crime?

The Remote
If I could have one wish, what would it be? A remote that controls the modern T.V
I could choose what I would want to see, and I could look and see the options in front of me
I could pause the program at any time, without missing a detail or crime
I could skip to the good parts or fast forward the bad, and only see the nice things the program had
If this wish were to come true, I am not exactly sure what I would do
My life would be so simple their would be no task, there for this is not an appropriate wish to ask

The Greatest Gift
You were given a greatest gift, it is not wrapped, but it's not thrift
You use this gift in every way, it could break one down, or make ones day
Make no mistake, this is a hard gift to keep, it could bring you wonders, or make you weep
Once the box is opened you can't get back what's inside, it can never be erased, no matter how hard one's tried
To sum it all up and make it terse, this gift is a blessing but also a curse
What is the gift? You may ask,
The gift of words

The Farmer And The Apple
The farmer comes in…
Starts to pick the apple…
The apple won’t budge…
Two weeks later the farmer comes back…
The apple is dangling from one small twig…
The farmer gives one last tug…
The apple falls into his hand…
He takes a bite of his apple…
The farmer smiles

One Small Flower
Like a flower that opens their mind this flower is not at all hard to find
For this flower who has a colorful petal, who is both on the inside and out in fine fettle
This flower did not start on the top neither did get help from a previous crop
The flower Struggled, the flower did suffer, but never did the flower bluffer
As time wears down the flower is molder, its petals fall off as the flower becomes older
The flower is weak, it’s not very strong, but it never loses its right from wrong
This flower is sick; it’s not at all well, but its attitude is still the most swell
This flower is never dead, we all have this flower inside our head
We must look carefully for this flower, and learn from it and gain it's power

Lemons Today, Gone Tomorrow
There are lemons on the table sitting right there, you catch sight but can only stare
You think about the taste that could be in your mouth, you eye the lemons but decide to turn south
You think about the savory sour taste, not taking the lemons would be quite a waste
You think about a plan to get the fruit, you be sure to take the perfect root
You finally decide to take a chance, you go to the table and find yourself in a state of trance
The lemons that were once there at dawn, are now all of the sudden gone
There were lemons at the table sitting right there, you didn't take your chance and decided to stare
